Day 1: London – Orlando
Fly from London Gatwick to Orlando. On arrival, collect your Alamo rental car from the airport for your entire stay in Florida. Drive into Orlando and settle into your accommodation. Stay 3 nights at the Avanti Resort (or similar).
Day 2-3: Orlando
World renowned attractions await you in this fun lover’s paradise. Explore the many wonders of the ‘theme park capital of the world'. Take your pick from Walt Disney World Resort, with its Magic Kingdom, Epcot Center and Animal Kingdom; Universal Studios and Universal Islands of Adventure; SeaWorld, Discovery Cove and Aquatica; or Legoland Florida, located just outside of Orlando. Cool down at one of the numerous waterparks nearby or work your way through the 330 designer shops at the Orlando Premium Outlets! After 3 nights here, you’ll never want to leave this magical wonderland.
Day 4: Orlando - Palm Beach (approx. 170 miles)
Leave Orlando and start your road trip of discovery and sightseeing. Drive south to the glorious beaches of Palm Beach County. Stay 3 nights at the Courtyard West Palm Beach (or similar).
Day 5-6: Palm Beach
After the excitement of Orlando, kick back and relax on Florida’s stunning Gold Coast. Known as the 'cultural capital' of Florida; with more than 200 theatres, museums, arts centres, indoor and outdoor performance stages and other cultural venues, there is never a dull day to be had. Enjoy a thrilling full-moon bike ride along some of Riverbend Parks’ 15 miles of twisting and turning trails or choose to play on one of the 160 public and private golf courses.
Day 7: Palm Beach – Miami (approx. 70 miles)
Head south down the coast to Miami and spend 3 nights at Holiday Inn Miami Beach Oceanfront (or similar).
Day 8-9: Miami
No Florida trip is complete without a visit to Miami to experience the unique beachside party atmosphere and vibrant nightlife that only this city can offer. Take a culinary tour in Little Havana, Miami’s famous Cuban district, relax on the world-famous South Beach looking out for the Art Deco districts' 800 registered buildings and take a boat tour to see many celebrities' mansions on Star Island. A day trip south to see the lush tropical wetlands of the Everglades is a must. Skim across the water in an air-boat watching alligators and manatees dash for cover, whilst spoonbills and ibises stalk among the sawgrass and mangrove swamps.
Day 10: Miami – Key West, Florida Keys (approx. 162 miles)
Drive onward for your journey along one of the USA's iconic roads, the Overseas Highway, as you head to the southern tip of the Florida Keys to round off your trip. Stay 3 nights at the Ocean Pointe Suites at Key Largo (or similar).
Day 11-12: Key West, Florida Keys
Enjoy your time relaxing on the stunning beaches which gently shelve into the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The turquoise blue waters that surround the Keys are home to a stunning underwater world which can be explored by divers and snorkelers alike. If you would prefer to stay on dry land, discover the art galleries, independently owned cafes and varied museums during the day and sip a cocktail or two watching the setting sun whilst listening to live music and tasting authentic cuisine in the evening.
Day 13: Key West, Florida Keys – Miami – London
Your discovery of Florida’s Atlantic Coast comes to an end as you return your rental car to Miami Airport then fly overnight back to Heathrow.
