Day 1: Depart Seattle
Arrive in Seattle and make your way to the port where you’ll board the Norwegian Pearl, your home for the next 7 nights. At 4pm, you’ll set sail for Alaska. Why not head straight for one of the two swimming pools on board or enjoy a drink in the Topsiders pool bar before choosing where to eat for dinner.
Pre-cruise accommodation in Seattle available from £80 per person per night.
Day 2: At Sea
Enjoy a relaxing day at sea today with time to explore the many activities on offer. Try a spot of bowling, practice your golf swing at the driving range or take in the sea air with a run around the jogging track. If all this seems like too much hard work, you can relax in one of the many lounges on board, enjoy a pampering spa session, catch a film in the on board cinema or simply relax on one of the Sun Decks.
Day 3: Juneau
Your first stop in the Alaska is at Juneau, the state capital. This city area is the second largest in the USA, but due to the magnificent mountains and glaciers surrounding it, there is no road connection to the rest of Alaska. Access is by boat or plane only. Spend your day exploring this intriguing destination which offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor pursuits from whale watching and kayaking to glacier walking and even zip-lining! Don’t miss a trip on the Mount Roberts Tramway for spectacular views.
Day 4: Skagway
Arrive in Skagway today and disembark for a day of exploration. At the end of the 19th century, Skagway was the starting point for more than 40,000 gold-rush stampeders who were making their way into the Yukon. Now, the town is part of the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park with plenty of tours and treks to choose from. Walk down Broadway Street, browsing the boutique stores or visit the Gold Rush Cemetery where the villainous Jefferson ‘Soapy’ Smith is buried.
Day 5: Cruising Glacier Bay
You’re in for a spectacularly scenic day’s sailing today. One of the true highlights of Alaska’s Inside Passage, Glacier Bay National Park covers millions of acres, made up of soaring snow-capped mountains, hidden fjords and lush rainforest. The area is also home to abundant wildlife including hump-backed whales, seals and sea lions. Keep your camera at the ready as you take in the views.
Day 6: Ketchikan
Early this morning, the Norwegian Pearl will dock in Ketchikan. You have a free morning here to explore. Ketchikan is a lovely town, located along the Tongass Narrows, at the foot of Deer Mountain. Popular nearby natural attractions here include the Misty Fjords National Monument and Tongass National Forest but the historic downtown area is also surrounded by stunning natural wilderness for you to discover. In the early afternoon, the ship sets sail for Canadian waters.
Day 7: Victoria (British Columbia)
Spend the day cruising through Pacific waters today en route to Victoria. There’s time to try your hand at rock climbing on the ship’s climbing wall, enjoy a soak in one of the hot tubs or treat yourself to a gourmet meal at one of the signature speciality restaurants, available for a cover charge. In the early evening, the ship will dock in Victoria, where you can disembark for a look around and a taste of this British Columbian city’s nightlife. By midnight you will be back at sea, on your return journey to Seattle.
